Switched control grid interpolation for motion compensated video coding

چکیده
In this paper, fundamental limitations of the Control Grid Interpolation and Block Matching schemes for motion compensation are remedied by a novel idea which embodies positive features of both schemes. The enhanced scheme performs both consistently and signiicantly better than either method does individually.
